Independent Validation

SES provide independent Validation services for customers who may not require Escrow Agreements, but do need to receive independent assurance/evidence of the complete and accurate nature of source code and a detailed manual of the unique build process. This range of validation services can cover a multitude of different scenarios based on the development or implementation of software and third party solutions using our proven and established validation methodology to capture the bespoke knowledge involved in the creation, development and subsequent building of the software.

Examples of Independent Validation;

  • A contracting developer who will build and create software, for which the Intellectual Property Rights will be transferred to the customer at the end of its development cycle.
  • Key milestone validation to protect an investment during the development cycle
  • Critical software on implementation
  • In house created bespoke software
  • The sale or transfer of software to a new company
  • Independent validation as part of due diligence for the sale/acquisition of a software vendor
  • The creation of a new software product entering the market
  • Proof of IP ownership
  • Creation of Independent build documentation, for instances where the specific product build knowledge may reside with just one key developer in an organisation

In all the above scenarios it is imperative that Independent Validation is undertaken to ensure the protection of your investment in any development and ensuring that all elements of the Source Code and accompanying documentation are available should there be a software failure, unexpected staff departures, IP challenge or transfer of ownership.
